Fundraising

Funds for PHOA are primarily allocated through public contributions, but we also look to grants for financial support.

Our most unique resource for helping fund our operation is through school/youth organization fundraisers. Rather than having students sell candy, gift wrap, cookie dough, or other tangibles, students within area schools/clubs are encouraged to ask family and friends to make a donation to support PHOA — their local non-profit organization that is working to benefit the community in a variety of ways. Here, donors not only help support a local community cause, but a portion of the monies collected go directly to the school/club.

In addition, we are proud to provide businesses with the opportunity to sponsor our organization through an employee/employer giving program. Businesses with at least 35% of their workforce making a monthly or weekly donation to PHOA benefit in several ways:

* They are recognized for their efforts with goodwill advertisement — business names/logos are printed on our transportation vehicle and within our website.

* They are positively recognized by the community through articles written in local newspapers.
